Founded the practice in 1967 following twelve years experience in the profession in Dublin. Past-President of the Association of Patent and Trade Mark Agents in Ireland. Treasurer-General and member of the Management Committee of the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA). Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents (CIPA) and the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA). Member of other national and international associations of Intellectual Property Practitioners, including FICPI, AIPPI, INTA, UNION and LES.

Joined the firm in 1979 having graduated from the University of Limerick with a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Technology, specialising in Materials and Production Engineering. Became a Partner in 1987. Council member of the European Patent Institute and Treasurer of the Association of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys. Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents and member of FICPI, AIPPI, UNION & LES.

Joined the firm in 1988. Graduated in 1978 from Trinity College, Dublin. Awarded a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Trinity College in 1984. Carried out post-graduate research at TNO, Rijswijk, Netherlands, and obtained Postdoctoral fellowships in the field of Biotechnology at Plant Genetic Systems, N.V., Belgium and Department of Zoology, University College, Dublin. Council Member of the European Patent Institute and Member of the Association of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys, the Copyright Association of Ireland, UNION, LES and AIPPI.

Joined the firm in 1989. Graduated from the University of Limerick in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Chemistry. Industrial experience in the United Kingdom as a research scientist with Imperial Chemical Industries plc. Conducted post-graduate research in the Chemistry Department of University College, Cork. Awarded MBA from the Open University, 1996. Member of the Association of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys.

Joined the firm in 2001 having obtained a BEng and MEng in Mechanical Engineering in Moscow specialising in Automation in Manufacturing. Has considerable experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications relating to a wide range of technologies including manufacturing, equipment and processes in mechanical and electrical fields, agricultural machinery, pharmaceutical and food industries, medical devices and human necessities. Takes special interest in industrial designs.

Joined the firm in 2006 after spending several years with one of the largest firms of Patent Attorneys in New Zealand. Obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in computer science from University College Dublin. Qualified New Zealand and Australian Patent Attorney. Specialises in patents in the electronics, software, telecommunications, business methods and mechanical engineering fields. Member of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys and a Member of the Irish Computer Society and Irish Software Association.
